Designed to be lightweight, the Black Diamond Screwgate Carabiner has been constructed using a Hotforge construction. The Hotforge construction removes weight where it is not needed and adds material where it’s needed most to increase overall durability. A low profile and non snagging nose is easy to clip and clean whilst an easy to hold functional shape makes for easy carrying and hooking. Featuring a screw-lock, the Carabiner is ideal for occasional use in dirty environments where the conditions could cause an automatic locking system to jam. The screw-lock can be easily opened and either locked or not according to the user’s needs. Lastly, the HotForge accommodates a clove hitch and is built for everyday climbing missions that demand reliability and durability.
